The acts described in this case are disgusting. Dog-fighting is something that will immediately alienate you from 99% of the nation. What kind of retard do you have to be to participate in filth like this when you’re under contract for over $100 MILLION!!! (That doesn’t even count the boat-loads of money that Nike gives him)
Then today I received an e-mail from a friend with this link in it.
Whoa!!! While the concept is disgusting, nothing has been proven yet. An indictment just means that there will be a trial. Our entire legal system is based on the concept of “innocent until proven guilty.” The NFL has no right to suspend Vick for being accused of something. Just like the Duke LaCrosse Players got screwed because, for some reason, everyone assumed they were guilty before their trial even started!!
I DO believe Nike made the right move. Earlier today, Nike announced they will NOT release the new Vick Air Zoom 4 as planned. They have not ended their relationship, but they’re waiting to see what happens. It just makes good business-sense to hold off until they know more information.
HE’S NOT GUILTY. Yet. He could be. But who knows? Do you have all the information?
